Anatomy of a good animation prompt

Motion is storytelling in time, so the most useful thing a prompt can do is give the order of events. Then add the words, the look and the ending.

  • Opening: what is on screen in the first second
  • Beats: what appears or changes next, in order
  • Text: the exact words, in quotes
  • Look: mood, colors, font style
  • Ending: the still final frame

The prompt library

Animated text

  • Typewriter quote

The quote “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” types out in a clean mono font with a blinking cursor on warm off-white, then the author name fades in below.

    Try it
  • Word slam

Kinetic type: “Work hard. Stay humble. Be kind.” Each word slams in large and centered, one per beat, alternating black on yellow and yellow on black.

    Try it
  • Neon sign

A neon sign that reads “Open Late” flickers on letter by letter against a dark brick wall, then glows steadily with a soft pink reflection below.

    Try it
  • Elegant invitation

Wedding title card: “Emma & Liam” writes itself in a flowing script, a thin gold line draws beneath, then “June 14, 2027” fades in, ivory background.

Logo reveals

  • Line draw reveal

The wordmark “atlas” in bold lowercase sans draws its outline stroke by stroke in white on black, fills in, and a small orange dot lands on the i.

    Try it
  • Shape assemble

Four colored squares fly in from the corners and snap into a 2x2 grid logo, the name “Quadra” slides out to the right, clean white background.

    Try it
  • Glitch sting

An energetic 5-second logo sting: the name “VOLT” glitches in with RGB split and scanlines, then locks into a clean electric-blue wordmark.

    Try it
  • Premium outro

Outro: a monogram “R” in a thin gold serif appears inside a slowly drawing circle on deep green, then “See you next week” fades in beneath.

Data and charts

  • Growth bars

A bar chart of revenue by quarter: Q1 $120k, Q2 $180k, Q3 $260k, Q4 $410k. Bars rise one by one with values counting up, then “+242% this year” appears.

    Try it
  • Bar chart race

A bar chart race of five programming languages over 5 years, bars reordering as values change, a year counter in the corner, bright colors on dark.

    Try it

One statistic: “2.4 billion” counts up from zero in huge bold type, the label “people use this every day” slides up, the number pulses once at the end.

    Try it
  • Line chart story

Prompt FAQ

What makes a good AI animation prompt?

The order of events, the exact on-screen text in quotes, the mood and colors, and what the final frame shows, in two to four sentences.

Can I use these prompts for free?

Yes. Copy and adapt any prompt; you only spend credits when you generate an animation with it.

Why did my animation come out different from the prompt?

Too many ideas in one clip is the usual cause. Keep one idea per animation, give the beats in order and quote the text exactly.
